The column series is a meditation on cloth as a source of grounding, of balance and of structure. An interplay between ephemeral lightness and a stable framework of support, of balance, of grounding structure.
This piece was woven by hand using locally sourced, vintage wool, cotton, mohair & linen on a South African cotton warp.
